Developers don’t understand your business

September 3rd, 2020

Founders/CEOs: Got a remote team? or offshore?

You have to get good at deliberate communication and providing the context, “the why”.

Humans are really bad at this, we think things that are obvious to us are obvious to everyone.

You run into big trouble here with a remote development team on quality and costs.

Developers don’t understand your customer problems, they don’t understand your vision and the problems your product solves. “the why”.

Unless you explain it and keep explaining it.

Most problems with budget blow outs and quality can be prevented.

Let them focus on the “what” and “how” but make sure the big picture is clearly understood and don’t settle for less.
